When people are sleep deprived or suffering from sleep disorders, it is not uncommon for the productivity and creativity in their lives to suffer. My great passion is to bring sleep health to people who have been struggling with it – to help people who know what it feels like to walk through life like a zombie. I help my clients, along with their physician, find solutions to sleep issues and sleep disorders.
Sometimes we think we just have to push through – whether it’s from the demands of work, school, family, short-term stressors, or grief. In the short-term, we can make adjustments to get through the day. But after a few days, sleep deprivation is something that needs to be taken seriously. Sleep deprivation builds up over time, wearing away at our quality of life. While I see this happening to people of all shapes, sizes, races, and genders, I feel a special connection to my female clients who spend their days working and caring for everyone else. They end their day exhausted and hoping to find that night of restful sleep, only to find themselves more frustrated and exhausted the next day with another sleepless night … and the cycle continues.
My extensive background includes over 13 years working in respiratory care and sleep medicine in both the hospital and independent sleep lab setting. I hold a B.S. in Business Management, a license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist with the MN Board of Medical Practice, and a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
I work with several Board Certified Sleep physicians who will review, interpret, and help make recommendations to assist you with your sleep issues.
